SAMBAL ANCHOVIES

Serves 2-4         
(Prep.time 15 mins)

Ingredients:

  • Sambal chili sauce (1 bowl 350g)

  • 1 onion (sliced)

  • Anchovies (½bowl)

  • 2 tablespoon of sugar


To make it:

  • Heat up oil in a wok.

  • Deep fry anchovies over low heat until crispy.

  • Remove and set aside.

  • Reserve 4 tablespoon of oil in the same wok and stir fry onion until softened.

  • Add sambal chili sauce and stir fry until boiling.

  • Switch to low heat and simmer until the colour darkens.

  • Add anchovies and stir well.

  • Add sugar and stir well.
